Hi,

New to the forum. I recently purchased some seeds and am willing to trade a few for some Fresh/live weeping willow cuttings, rooted preferred.

The seeds I am willing to exchange:

10- Golden Chain tree seeds
5- Japanese Snowbell tree Seeds
3- Flowering weeping Cherry tree seeds
2-Pink Dogwood tree seeds

I am also willing to exchange just one type of tree seeds from the list above for a smaller amount of weeping willow cuttings.

I can only ship within the USA.

Thanks

To start with I am new to bonsai, but I have a weeping willow in my yard. I took some cuttings off of it two days ago and am attempting to get them to root. It I am succesfull in that I will gladly trade some starts for some seeds, as I am hoping to start some next spring. I will let you know how it goes.

I have alot of weeping willow however it is winter here and I dont have any rooted but if you are intrested I could prolly take some cuttings and prep them for rooting before shipping and they very well may make it with much less stress on the plant... let me know!

You could probably just wrap the cuttings in moss or wet paper towels and put them in a plastic bag and mail them. I took some cuttings from my willow in the dead of winter and kept them in a pot of premixed commercial bonsai soil. They should root with no problem if you keep the soil damp. Of course, they are in the house now (Chicago)
