Well, if you can't have the courtesy to make an attempt to write comprehensible English, I don't feel much need to respond to your questions. After all, YOU are asking for OUR help.

Purposefully continuing to write like a cross between e.e. cummings, an illiterate teenager, and Henry James isn't the way to get that help.

Haha, I totally agree. Never heard anyone reference e.e. cummings on a forum before, though I have had quite a few run-ins with illiterate teenagers.

In Pat's defense, it may feel like people are teaming up on him. Yet one should realize that on the Internets, people can be playfully insensitive to others' sensitivity in some regards; and being overly defensive does not generally help one's case.

You need some back-budding lower down. I like to make use of sacrifice branches lower down to correct taper and nebari problems. While letting the sacrifice branches grow freely I do work on the rest of the tree. Top branches that are too thick are cut back to the growths nearest to the main trunk to help with the flow and the taper of each branch.

But do it in stages: some growth, some cutting back!

But let it grow for a while after the repot.

thank you lennard i think that this is the best way to go. i do have one sacrifice branch at the moment but its right at the top, its already like 30cm long considering the tree is only 20cm tall. thank you for the information i do think i will do that.

:) Don't worry about it, Pat. I was joking with you too, and it's hard to tell over the internet sometimes.

Thanks Lennard for getting the discussion back on track. lol
